Welcome to the Anderson gallery.
I have designed this virtual gallery to first showcase my art and photography and second to provide additional details and information. The site is meant to be interactive. Unlike a traditional gallery, here you are encouraged to “touch” the art to access additional content and features. My works take center stage with additional content and information available if you choose to access it.
The site is organized into three sections. Collections, Gallery, and Blog. The Collections are curated exhibits of photographs and art with written descriptions and additional details on each work available for viewing. The Gallery is a display of all photographs and art works without the extraneous details. Works can be viewed as a whole or individually. My Blog is the behind-the-scenes look on a variety of topics, news items related to the site, tutorials, reviews, etc. related to my works.
Other related resources beyond this site include my portfolio site, which includes the same collection of photography works but is organized geographically and can be searched by keyword. You can also follow and interact with me on social media through Instagram and Facebook.
When serving as a gallery docent in college, I always encouraged my guests to step inside the work and imagine what it would be like to be in that place. What would your senses tell you if you stood there? What would you experience just beyond the frame?
A photograph may capture a moment in time, but I like to say I am capturing the imagination. The adventure starts just over that hill, around that tree, through those clouds, and beyond the stars.
